While waiting to wear blue jeans, your baby can already adopt the style with these little slippers. Presented in the March 2010 issue of, they are knitted in garter stitch and closed with a small button.

Sizes: 3 months

Supplies

Phildar knitting yarn, "Cabotine" quality (55% cotton, 45% acrylic): 1 pel. collar. Denim.

Garter stitch: tric. always at the end.

Production

For the sole, cast 32 sts. # 3. Tric. in garter st in inc. at 1 m. each end and on both sides of the 2 m. central, all 2 rows 5 fs 1 m. = 52 m.

Tric. 1 rg then return: 8 m., Rab. 3 meters, 30 meters, rab. 3 m., 8 m. Cut the thread.

Put the first 8 m. waiting, cont. on the 30 m. central tric. so :

1st dec from dim .: 11ft., 2ft. set, 4 sts, 2 sts. ens., 11 m. Tric. 1 rg.

2nd row: 10 sts, 2 sts. set, 4 sts, 2 sts. ens., 10 m. = 26 m. Tric. 1 rg.

3rd row: 9 sts, 2 sts. set, 4 sts, 2 sts. set, 9 meters = 24 meters. Tric. 1 rg.

4th row: 1 m., 2 sts. ens., 5 m., 2 m. set, 4 sts., 1 simple seam, 5 sts., 1 single seam, 1 sts. = 20 m.Tric. 1 rg.

5th row: 1 st., 2 sts. set, 3 sts, 2 sts. set, 4 sts, 1 single seam, 3 sts, 1 single seam, 1 sts. = 16 m. Tric. 1 rg

6th row: 1 m., 2 sts. set, 1 st., 2 sts. set, 4 sts, 1 single seam, 1 sts, 1 single seam, 1 sts. = 12 m. Tric. 1 rg

7th row: 1 st., 3 sts. set, 4 sts, 1 double seam, 1 sts. = 8 m.

8th row = 1 meter, 3 sts. ens., 1 double overcast, 1 m. = 4 m.

For the paw, knit. 22 rows on the 4 m. rest. Rab. Fold the last 11 rows in and sew the stitch.

Take the 8 m. waiting at each end. Gather them on a single ea. and tric. in garter stitch taking ens. the 2 m. at the 1st rg = 15 m. Tric. 14 rows by adding to the last row at 1 end 1 sts 22 sts. for the paw. Tric. 3 rows and rab.

Tric. the other slipper vis-à-vis.

Fold the slipper to close the sole. Embroider a button flange at the end of the tab. Pass it in the loop. Sew the button on the side of the slipper.
